JONAS NUNES DE ANDRADE NOBRE

Jonas de Andrade (1984) grew up in Northern Portugal and in Macau, China.
From 2003 until 2019 was part of two Portuguese theater companies where he worked as designer and performer.
Until 2012 he has worked in Graphic Design and video editing in several projects, and wrote for art and design magazines in Portugal.
He has worked in writing, translation and proofreading since 2005 in Portuguese, English and Spanish and has taught Portuguese to foreigners.
A musician since 2006, he has lent percussion and vocals to some bands in Portugal
and played cavaquinho in a regional folk group. Jonas was one of the founders of Tornadouro, an awarded handicraft brand and Divulgacaminho, an association,
both based on rural folk culture from Northern Portugal.ç

Academic degrees:
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Design - Graphic Art (2008)
and a Master's degree in Image Design (2009) class A in European scale of comparability,both by the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Oporto, Portugal
Dissertation "Filtered Presence" about mediation in performance (Porto, 2009 advisor: Heitor Alvelos PhD)
Studied poster and handprint in the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland (2005)
Certificate in Advanced English, Cambridge CAE-A ESOL-3 CEFR-C2 (2011)
